The Significance of The Annunciation Virgin Mary

The creator of this icon has learned the canonization of iconography in workshops of the Monasteries of Mount Athos, where he was taught both the technique of hagiography and the process of handmade ageing, which bears the image with the representation of the Archangels.

The Annunciation (or Evangelismos in Greek) to the Theotokos is one of the Great Feasts of the Orthodox Church, celebrated on March 25 (OS) / April 7 (NS).
