This icon of Christ Pantocrator is a vintage-style serigraphy on canvas with rich gold-leaf detailing and an aged patina that echoes a centuries-old original. It shows the Lord as Ruler of All, blessing with His right hand and holding the open Gospel, inscribed with His words, in His left — the classic Byzantine image of Christ the Teacher and Almighty.

The Significance of Christ Pantocrator

"Pantocrator" means "Ruler of All" or "Almighty", and it is the central image of Christ in Orthodox tradition. The Lord is shown blessing with His right hand, while His left holds the Gospel — here shown open, revealing His words to the faithful. The cruciform halo bears the Greek letters Ο ΩΝ ("He Who Is"), the name of God revealed to Moses, and the monogram IC XC identifies Jesus Christ.

This image is most often placed in the central dome or apse of Orthodox churches, where Christ watches over and blesses the whole congregation. As a devotional icon for the home, Christ Pantocrator expresses the loving authority and abiding presence of the Lord — a central, treasured presence in any prayer corner and a meaningful gift for every Christian.

Handmade in Greece since 1978.

Every piece leaves our workshop finished by hand — the wood prepared, the image laid, the surface aged and varnished. One at a time, the way Greek icon workshops have worked for generations.

We make them to be lived with: held in prayer, hung in a quiet corner, passed on.

"Come close to God, and God will come close to you." — James 4:8
