This Byzantine-style icon of Saint Catherine of Sinai is made of 925 sterling silver with selective 24-karat gold plating. The background has a matte, hammered finish with a bronze-gold plating, while the central subject has a polished finish. The lettering and various details on the garment and halo are decorated with burgundy enamel designs. The icon is framed with Swarovski stones, and the wood panel is cut in an intricate, modern design.
The metal has been specially treated to ensure it remains untarnished.
It can be hung on a wall or displayed on a tabletop with its stand.
