This beautifully crafted Orthodox icon of the Holy Three Youths in the Furnace is created using the traditional lithography technique, featuring a double varnish layer for water resistance and long-lasting durability. Handmade artificial aging lends an antique character, reflecting the timeless artistry and spiritual depth of Byzantine iconography. Crafted by an artisan trained in the Monasteries of Mount Athos, this icon is a stunning example of sacred Orthodox tradition.
The Holy Three Youths in the Furnace—Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego—are celebrated for their unwavering faith in God during the reign of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. When commanded to worship a golden idol, they refused, declaring their loyalty to the one true God. As a result, they were cast into a fiery furnace but were miraculously preserved by divine protection, with the pre-incarnate Christ appearing beside them. Their story symbolizes faith, courage, and God’s deliverance in times of trial. The Church commemorates these holy youths on December 17th.
In this Orthodox icon, the three youths are depicted standing in the flames with an angel or Christ figure, symbolizing God’s presence and their miraculous salvation. Their image represents the triumph of faith over earthly power and the enduring promise of divine protection.
This Orthodox icon can be hung on a wall or placed on a flat surface, making it an inspiring addition to any prayer corner or sacred space. It serves as a powerful reminder of God’s faithfulness to those who trust in Him.

"James 4:8 (NLT) says,“Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world."
