St. Sergius of Radonezh is one of the most revered saints in the Russian Orthodox Church. Born in the 14th century in the region of Rostov, he became an influential monk and ascetic. St. Sergius is known for his establishment of the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius, one of the largest and most important monasteries in Russia. His spiritual teachings and humility earned him the respect of many, and he played a key role in strengthening Orthodox Christianity in Russia. His feast day is celebrated on September 25th.
