The Significance of Virgin Mary Amolyntos
Amolyntos means the Undefiled. The title comes from the evening prayer of the Apodeipnon and is one of the oldest Marian titles in the Greek Church.
Each piece is finished by hand, so the depth of the relief and the tone of the plating vary slightly from one icon to the next.
